So, we haven't dropped off the face of the earth..... We are still existant and I am sure you are wondering what we have been up to. Well, I have a lot of updating.
I decided to start with ernie's kindergarten graduation. Ernie was so funnny. All of the kids had to participate twice in the ceremonies. First they told us what they wanted to be when they grow up. Ernie wants to be "Officer Ernie". Then they each recited a nursery rhyme or poem. When ernie stood up to recite "Last Day Of School", the whole class behind him on the stage cheered! I thought that was so cute, it really showed his realtionship with the class. He will really miss all of those kids. Thank you Grandma, Karli, and Holly and her kids for coming, oh and Grandpa Ernie in spirit. It is funny that we crate such a hupla for kindergarten to be over, but it is kind of sad. No more lunch with mom every day....Now we only have the summers. Yes, I am a bit dramatic, but it just goes by too fast!
He had so many good friends. Although, he was very upset that he didn't get a picture with Nick.
There were so many different milestones for Ernie this year. To name a few, he lost his first tooth, he had his first crush (good thing he dosen't read this, but it's the adorable girl that he is standing as far away from as possible in the above picture), he began his obsession with Star Wars, and he then ended his obsession with Star Wars. He just plain grew up. We can't believe the depth of his understadning, and the strength of resolve to stand up and do the things that he believes in. (One funny example, he went to his friend Tate's b-day, and they had spiderman tatoos, which he wouldn't get. He came home and said, "that is so gross, why would anyone even get a fake tatoo, they are so bad ,you shouldn't even get a fake one." To which, Caleb responded, "but I got one, want to see it?")
I can't believe how grown up he is. I wish we could have come to his graduation too. I love Caleb's comment to Ernie about the tatoo. Jackson loves getting them. Lane's sister-in-law calls them body stickers to make them sound better I guess.... Maybe Ernie would get one of those!
ReplyDeleteYes, maybe a 'body sticker' would have been better recieved!
